Buddy Directory rules
In placing your details on and becoming a member of the Buddy Directory you agree to the following:
If you have safeguarding or other concerns for your Buddy, that are not recognised by the Buddy, you should contact Esther on [email protected] and/or the Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline:

This is a free, confidential advice and support service for anyone with a question or concern about dementia which is staffed by experienced dementia specialist Admiral Nurses.
- You will offer emotional support and practical advice to other Buddies – see disclaimer below.
DISCLAIMER: Please note that you assume full responsibility and risk in the use of information that you receive from a Lewy Buddy. All Buddies aim to ensure that information is as accurate as possible, but we accept no responsibility for any errors, omissions or inaccuracies, or for any adverse consequences of any kind arising from the use of information provided. You may ask a Buddy for their advice but please see the clinician responsible for your care, a social services representative, or your GP if you have specific needs which require attention. Any medical decisions must be taken in discussion with appropriate health professionals. - You will aim to have an equal relationship with your Buddy, seeking and receiving support
- You will not request financial support or share bank details with another Buddy
- No promotions, marketing or spam messages allowed
- If you arrange to meet a Buddy in person, your first meeting will be in a public place
- No hate speech or bullying of any sort will be tolerated
