The Buddy Directory Guide

​The Buddy Directory is an online list of all our members – or "Buddies". The list is hosted on a password-protected members-only area of our website.
 
Any registered members are able to freely browse and search the Directory for Buddies local to them, or who are in similar situations.
 
The information listed on each member is as follows:

• First name
• Last name (first initial only)
• County
• Postcode (first half only)
• Relationship to condition
• Stage of diagnosis

The screenshot below shows how members' details are presented on the Directory. No contact details are listed on the Directory.

How to register as a member and get access to the Buddy Directory

1.   Read the Buddy Directory Rules. By registering for the Directory you agree to adhere to these rules.

2.   Complete and submit the registration form on The Buddy Directory page of this website. Fill in as much detail as you can. This will help other Buddies in similar situations find you.

3.   Once we have received your registration form, we will contact you for a short 5-10 minute call. This is for safeguarding purposes and to ensure everyone listed is genuine and understands what is expected of them.

4.   ​You will receive an invite to the email address you provided. Click on the link in the email.

5.   You will be asked to set your password.

You will now be able to log in using the email and password you submitted.

6.   Click "Log In" to be redirected to the log in page (below, left).

7.   ​Enter your email and password to log in (below, right).

​Once logged in, you will be redirected to the Buddy Directory page.  On any subsequent visits to the lewybuddiesuk.org website, you can log in by clicking on "Log In" in the top right of the screen and following the on-screen instructions.

​Alternatively, the Buddy Directory can be accessed via the main navigation menu.
